The IC Studios will be supported by a new, integrative team—the Intersectional Data Core— that will leverage existing institutional data sources, develop and pilot test new data collection methods, and compile needed additional data on faculty members’ multiple marginalized identities with the aim of providing information needed by the IC Studios. The IC Studios will also be supported by our Social Science Research Team, whose findings from original research exploring the intersections of racism, sexism, and other modes of oppression impact Women of Color and sexual and gender minority (SGM) faculty will be used to inform IC Studio activity on the perspectives and needs of minoritized faculty.
