Challenging work environments and problematic experiences for women in STEM have been thoroughly studied over the last few decades, and emerging research has also demonstrated the compounded challenges faced by women who hold multiple minoritized identities. However, few researches have focused on the facets of women’s careers that support their success and progression becoming both junior and leading STEM academics. Our research will explore how women STEM faculty, with a focus on Women of Color and LGBTQ+ persons, build and navigate their professional networks to find success at the University of Utah.
